Answers to questions from 20th December Meeting notes
What's the topic of the NGI grant
The topic evolved from the application and can be generalized to:
- As a participant employee, I want to search for every 3DObject Model which represents castle available in the dataspace
Or for one based on movies:
- As a participant employee, I want to search for every movies available in the dataspace and linked to "climate change"
In a technical point of view it means enabling property-based search on single resources exposed by participants of a dataspaceby making local indexes describing those resources available on the participant side and having a federated index which we can query as an entrypoint for discoverability, as well as being able to identify which datasets does the targeted unitary resource belongs to and being able to trigger a contract negotiation workflow making the related datasets available.
We exclude for now checking policies more specific than: "I am a registered members of TEMS"
Actual goal of the POC
I think you got it, please make sure that my paragraph above means the same thing to you. But then it includes the background tasks of silently negotiation the data-access contract.
Policy application
I think at a first stage we should limit ourselves to checking a general policy like "This employee belongs to a company which is a member of TEMS"
UX
The answer is yes, we can limit the scenario to human-based search for now.
