Unacceptably slow performances on some desktop

Aurélie Jallut from https://app.paris.happy-dev.fr/ shared those GIFs with me to illustrate the poor performance she is experiencing on Hubl.

I belive @matthieu is investigating this problem, but I'm not sure where we're at. I'm creating this issue so everyone can see the problem, and so we have it under the radar and address it.
